I’ve been using KWHero for several months, on and off, so now I thought it was time to start a review. Here are my pros and cons.

While KWHero does generate great content, it’s just missing a lot of readability add-ons, such as images, bolded words, tables, and even lists. If you don’t need that, I can highly recommend KWHero.

What Is KWHero?
KWHero is an SEO tool that analyzes the SERP and lets you generate content with AI based on all the research.
You can generate an outline using AI, then the content, and you can even choose what competitors you want to compare your content with and use for research.
It’s a super easy SEO tool to use, but at the moment, it can only be used for content optimization and generation.

Now it’s time to dive into the features, and while KWHero is super simple, it does have some nice features hidden away.
Let’s start with how you create a content plan.

Keyword Research: Cluster Keywords
KWHero has a keyword research module that allows you to do keyword research and cluster keywords while researching.
As I’m testing this, the module is fairly new, so I’ll dive into its features, but based on my testing, it’s a fairly small dataset.
When you search for a keyword, don’t go too long-tail as there is no data on this yet; keep it short, and let the keyword research module come up with long-tail-related keywords.
When you run a report, you get filtering options, such as:
- Positive filter
- Negative filter
- Monthly searches
- Cost per click
- Keyword Difficulty
And for each keyword, you get 9 “data points”:
- Related keywords
- Search trends
- SERP data
- Keyword Difficulty
- Profitability score (0-100)
- Search volume
- Cost per click (If you want to advertise on the keyword)
- Min. recommended domain power
- Backlinks to the page ranking number 1
So, while you get a lot of data on each keyword, the biggest problem is that there is not enough keyword data in the database for keyword research.
I like seeing so many data points; my favorite feature is the cluster feature. On the left side, you can enable clustering, and when you do, all keywords related to each other will be collected in a little dropdown.
This makes it easy to see what you need to cover in that cluster and makes it much easier to write the content, as you can easily interlink those blog posts in the keyword cluster.
I still prefer to use a tool like KeySearch or LowFruits to do my keyword research, as the database size is super important to ensure you get all the keywords you need.
Content Plans: Create Your Topical Map
Creating the content plans and adding the keywords is super simple. I like that I get an overview of my content strategy.
On my left, I have all my topical clusters; on my right, I have all my keywords, so I can start writing high-quality content.
It’s easy to manage with labels and internal notes, and even though it doesn’t look like much, this is how you keep your content up-to-date.
From here, you can run a content analysis and then even start writing your high-quality content manually or generate it with AI and give it your human touch.
Content Analysis: Generate Your AI SEO-Optimized Blog Post
This is where you’ll spend the most time in KWHero, in the content editor, writing your SEO content.
On the left, you have the content editor; on the right, you have your research with a comprehensive competition analysis, AI-optimized outlines, and much more.
The content editor itself is easy to use, and I like it has a lot of spacing between the paragraphs and headings, making it easy to get an overview.
On the right side is the content editor’s SEO optimization part.
So, when you start your content creation, you create an outline before creating content for search engines and, of course, people.
Chase the people, not the algorithms, as Google says.
On the right side, you have an overview of:
- Word count
- Amount of headings
- Amount of Paragraphs
- Amount of Images
- Grade Level
- Flesch score
Everything to help you write better, high-quality content.
You also have 2 tabs for creating an outline with AI and for content generation; there are currently no collaboration tools.
When you generate content, you can enable AI content detectors to determine whether it should scrape fresh content, allowing for even better high-quality content.

The AI content detectors work decently. I did a test with an AI-detection tool, and sometimes it could recognize AI, but other times it could not.
Even though the AI-detectors are random, it does give an indication that it’s doing something right.
I love the NLP optimization and voice and perspective features, which I need when generating AI content.
Lastly, you can also choose what competitors you want to compare your content with, and I usually go for the content score, not the domain score.
The domain score indicates how strong the backlink profile is, whereas the content score shows the writing style and content quality.
So overall, while it’s a simple content editor, it really shows how this powerful tool can help turn your keyword strategies into great content.

KWHero is made for content creators. So, if you’re looking to generate content or maybe even build some clusters with keywords in an easy way, then KWHero is for you.

Frase
Frase is my favorite content optimization tool, and even this blog post here is optimized and written in Frase manually by me.
They also have an outstanding AI content generation flow and, in my opinion, much better than KWHero, but for some, it is also more complicated.
KWHero Pricing
The pricing starts at $59 and runs up to $349, depending on how much content you need to generate.
I will recommend you start for free, generate some content, and see if the workflow works for you.
If it does, then you can start with the basic plan and generate content for $5.9 per article.
It’s not the most expensive AI copywriting tool nor the cheapest, it’s right inebtween.
