I build content daily, from social media postings to blog posts and marketing campaigns. And all of this is time-consuming, and it requires creativity. This right here is Scalenut, an AI platform that claims to be able to help you build an SEO-optimised blog post in less than five minutes. So let’s put that to the test.
This is the Scalenut platform. And I know they’ve just released their new design, and I like it so far. But here on the dashboard, we have a simple overview of some tasks you can start with. You can use their new cruise module to create an SEO blog. You can create a content brief.

Features of Scalenut
Soon you can also create topic clusters. We have a getting started guide down here. They also have a Chrome extension where you can generate content on the web. And then they have a Facebook community. And down here, you can earn some credits if you release a review.
But let’s move on to the exciting part, the AI copywriting. So within the AI copywriter here, we have a lot of different templates, and this is what is called short-form content. So that can be a social media post, a little copy for the website, a product description, and so on. So, before we test the most exciting part of Scalenut, the cruise module, I will create a social media post so you can get an idea of how Scalenut is working. So we have a split-screen here.
On the left side, we have where we can add the output from the AI template. And on the right is where we create the AI copywriting. So let me type in these different sections here. So for the brand, I have written that Planzer.io is a task management system that collects your tasks in one view and the description I have written with planzer.io then you have one view where you can see all the information about your tasks, emails and even calendar events.
So now, let’s try and press generate and see what we get in return. So we get nine different results everywhere, from a task description with a hashtag. Then we also get some with emojis.
And down here, I like this one. All the information you need is in one place at your fingertips. It’s not so describing, but I like that they’re using emojis. That is cool. Going further up, we can see that sometimes it’s a bit of a mix.
Here it’s saying sier communication just like email addresses. Planzer.io gives you an easy link to other services that allow for communication with different people. So this one is a miss. Let’s say we do not like this one. This one here is quite good.
We will say that we like it and add it to the editor because this is the one we will be using. So here it’s telling that Planzer.io is a task management system that collects all your tasks, email and calendar events in one place; at the click of a button, you can quickly work on each of them at the time that is most comfortable and convenient to you. So, therefore, it has several possible benefits, and here I can add my benefits, but I can also press write here.
When I press write, then hopefully, it should write these different benefits. So here it has written three different types of benefits, which are pretty good. They need some minor adjustments, but I would be able to use them. The only problem now is that my social media post is quite long, and it’s most likely too long for Twitter. So maybe it will be fine on Instagram and Facebook.
So if I somehow could make these sentences shorter, then that would be preferred. So if I highlight it here, I can, of course, rephrase it. And if I click on the AI tools, I can write about this content. I can find topics for this content and I create questions about this content, but let’s try and rephrase it and then see how this will output. So here you can see that we can basically compare the original text to the rephrased text to see whether we want to use the new one or not.
I would really like a feature where I can rephrase it and tell it to shorten it up, so it’s more precise. At the moment that is not possible, but this is the editor that will also be shown later when I show the cruise mode. So we have the instructor as well. That basically works in the same way as it’s writing more AI. Then we have our connectors here where we can basically add different types of words to connect the different sentences.
And in the end, we have our AI settings here where we can basically set the configuration with some context keyword and then we can show what should the output be and how should the creativity be for this content. So this is quite an elaborate editor and it has a lot more to it when it is that we start on the cruise mode in just a moment. But as you can see they have a lot of great templates also for Google, Ads, emails, videos, even to write manuscripts and so on. And they always save it. Here in the AI docs. So this was the document we were working on just before.
So here, it has shown that I can always choose a different type of AI template if I want to create more content for this specific document. But now, let’s go to the SEO hub within the SEO hub, right now, we only have SEO documents. In some time, we will also have topic clusters and even a topic gap analysis in some time. But here we have our AI-powered SEO assistant, and there are two ways of starting this.
Either we enter a keyword here and press create SEO document, or you can go to the dashboard and do it in cruise mode. So here we have the same we need to enter a keyword, choose the target country and then press start. So the keyword we are targeting for this test is the best WordPress Image Optimisation Plugins. And this module is what Scalenut claims: you can create a blog post in less than five minutes. So let’s try it out and press start here.
So, to begin with, we need to write about our topic. So let me fill this out. So right now, I have written that this post is talking about the five best image optimisation plugins for WordPress and how it optimise your website and which one is the best to use. Right now, we have to wait for Scalenut to gather SEO data because based on my keyword, you can see up here best the WordPress Image Optimisation plugins. It is now pulling data from Google, and everywhere it can find data about questions and so forth. So we have a full SEO report we can work from. So let’s see how this will go. It says that it typically takes around 90 seconds, but now it is ready. So let’s press next here.
So here we need to write our title. So we have our blog context now. Now we need to write our title, and you have three ways of doing this. The first one is that you manually sit and type your title. You can choose an AI-generated title, or you can see what the top-ranking titles are to get inspired by this.
But for now, I will choose the first one here, the AI-generated title that says the five best WordPress image optimisation plugins that help boost your website speed. That sounds very good. So now, let’s move on to the outline. So here, we need to build an outline of H2s and H3s if you want to. So over here, you can see that they have generated a lot of H2s.
That we can take in, and what I usually like to do about blog posts is an introduction talking about what this blog post is about and then just listing the different WordPress plugins. So let’s start with this one. How does an Image Optimisation plugin work? We can also add who should use image optimisation plugins.
But what I would like is actual examples of WordPress plugins. I would like that it said ShortPixel as number one and then WP Smush as number two and so on. We can try and generate some more ideas to see if it will show. But it is showing very generic H2s at the moment. So we have to add this manually.
For now, I’ll just add ShortPixel and WP Smush, and we can then open up the H2 that I created manually here to generate H3 ideas. So these H3 ideas are made based on ShortPixel. So let’s add the cost, how it works and what ShortPixel does. And let’s see what we can get within WP Smush and generate some H3s. And we see more or less the same.
What is it, benefits and examples of how to use it? At the bottom here, we have an FAQ and these FAQs are sometimes good, sometimes less good. The first one here is basically what the entire blog post needs to answer. But we can add this one. What are the benefits of using these plugins?
We can also use this one. How do these plugins work to increase speed? So now I think we have our outline. So now let’s go to the next step, which is writing the points. So now you can see that we basically have the first draft of our blog post here.
We have some different sentences which are attached to the different headings. So we have a header two, a header three, and it is adding text to it. Overall, when I skimmed through it, it looked good. We can always add writing points, we can regenerate writing points, but when we are satisfied, we just click next. And now, in less than five minutes, we have the first draft of our blog post.
Of course, you can use a lot more time on sitting and basic editing and optimising your blog post for the content grade, which is also part of Scalenut, which I will show you just in a moment. So now you can see we have our first draft. So I will now go to the next step, and now we can either download it or we can export it to the editor to further optimise it. At the moment, the content grade is C, and they’re suggesting an A. The word count is very low at the moment that needs to go a lot up.
So let’s export it to the editor. So now you can see that this editor looks a lot like the one from when it was we created AI template content. So here we have our title, we have a basic introduction, and then we have all of our different points down here. And it is as simple as if I want to add more text here, I basically put the mouse where I want the text and then I press to write, and it will then start writing about ShortPixel. So the thing it wrote here is not exactly what I’m looking for.
Now, it’s talking about Site speed insights, but you can always edit this and optimise it. And whenever you do changes and optimise it, the content grade down here would either go up or it will go down. Over to the right here, we have our entire SEO analysis, and in here, we have, of course, the outline we have built, but then we also have the number of images, the word count and the headings that they suggest that you do and this is based on the SERP. So they have analysed maybe the top ten or top 20 in the SERP to see what is usually done, and then they’re suggesting to do the same. We also have key terms here, and key terms are what they suggest that you use. It has an importance of how important it is that you use this keyword and then the number of times that they suggest and recommend that you use this specific keyword in your text.
I would like it if they had already taken that into account when they generated the text. But you can always basically click here and generate text for this specific term, and we will now see that the word is integrated into this part of the sentence. Right here, as you can see. So there are a lot of great tools that you can use to achieve this. But going down here, you can see all the different keywords that we need to focus on and the more keywords we add, the higher content grade we get.
But of course, it needs to make sense. We also have the competition here, which is just who is ranking right now on this specific keyword. We have their content grade, and then we can also expand to see the outline. And this is just to get inspired. Again, we can generate content based on the outline.
The last module is the questions. So these are questions pulled from Google, Quora and Reddit and AI-generated questions. What you need to do is that you need to answer all of these questions within your blog post. Of course, you cannot answer all of them specifically, but you need to try and cover as many as possible that make sense.
And if there’s a surplus of the different questions that you want to use, then make a new blog post and focus on them there. But it’s just a great way that if you are hitting writer’s block, then go in here, see the questions, and then you start writing. It’s a great way. For each blog post, you can also create a brief automatically. In brief, you just get an overview of what you need to focus on.
We have the metric trends here where we can see the content grade going up and down. We can see, of course, who are ranking down to the top 30. We can see our own outline at the moment and the general guidelines as I’ve already shown you. We can see the outline of the top 30 here to get inspired. We can see the questions and the citations as well, and then we can see the key terms, but this is more or less the same as we see on our right side over here as the toolbar.
One last thing you can do within their editor is AI templates, so you always have access to these templates if you want to generate content. Furthermore, then they also have SERP ideas here, so you can write in a specific search phrase and then get ideas from the SERP. Otherwise, the rest of the editor is the same as you saw before when it was, we created a social media posting, and I will say that overall, this editor is the most elaborate that I have seen in a very long time. The last thing before we move on to the pricing is the Talent Network because within Scalenut, if you don’t want to sit and generate this yourself, then you can go to the Talent network and then you can pay someone to use Scalenut to generate a blog or an article for you can be a white paper or something third, that is also a possibility using Scalenut.
Scalenut Pricing
Now let’s discuss pricing. When it is, you start testing out Scalenut, then start with the free plan. Here you get 2000 words and some other limits you need to hold yourself within. Though I will say that when you have tested out Scalenut, hopefully, you will upgrade to one of the paid plans if you like the product. Of course.
Personally, as you probably already know now, I’m really a big fan of Scalenut the fact that we can generate so much content in so little amount of time, and you get so many different variants. Though I will say that upgrading to the individual plan, then you should maybe look at the alternative Jasper. Within Jasper, you get a higher limit for your words, and you get some more functionality. If we take a step further and look at the growth plan for Scalenut, this is where all the value lies because here, you get unlimited words that you can generate. You get almost all functionality except for team members. You need to go for the last plan if you want to have multiple users.
But the growth plan is really where you get a tonne of value for the money.
Alternatives to Scalenut
But now, let’s move on to the alternatives. And the first one, as already mentioned, is Jasper. And Jasper is still the first choice within the AI copywriting industry because they have acquired so many companies. They have so much knowledge inside their company, and they generate outstanding text, especially for their boss mode.
Rytr
Rytr is a more simplified AI text generation platform with excellent output.
The other alternative is Rytr and Rytr I have previously reviewed the Channel, and Rytr they are known for just delivering great content. Their output is outstanding though I will say that the platform overall could need maybe a UX update or just some more functionality. But if you focus on the output, then Rytr is a great choice.
Future of Scalenut
Now when we take a look at the roadmap of Scalenut, it is packed with features, and they are still being upvoted and downvoted the different features, but the features that they’re focused on now is a Plagiarism checker so we can check that all of our content is unique and we can easily copy-paste it to our website. Furthermore, then they are working on a topic cluster. This basically means that you put in a topic and then Scalenut will scrape and show you all of the topics around this specific topic. This means that for you to create authority within this specific topic, you might need to take a look at all of the topics close to this. So you basically have a cluster of topics that you need to try and cover.
This is really a valuable module, and it also shows a little bit that Scalenut is focused on the SEO aspect of generating content. Furthermore, then they’re working on a topic gap analysis. This means that Scalenut can find gaps in content that you can write and easily rank on. The technology behind it and how they will do it will be very interesting to dive into when they release it, but for now, it is just so intriguing, and I’m interested and curious to see how they will pull this off so we can try and test it off because it’s an interesting module. Furthermore that they’re working on a feature where you can optimise the documents for multiple keywords or multiple search phrases, and I don’t know how relevant it is when you look at SEO from an expert aspect, but for some, it might make sense and especially when we look into the topic clusters there will be a lot of different topics that you can basically combine into one post and then make that post focusing on multiple topics.
But as you can also see on the roadmap, there are so many features as I’m scrolling down here, and all of these features are not necessarily being developed but are requested by users. So right now, it’s up to all of us to vote up and down on the different features to see what we want to see developed.
Pros & Cons of using Scalenut
Now after using Scalenut, I am a big fan of the new module Cruise Mode. It’s just an easy way to create blog posts, and then the quality of the output is high when we compare it to the other types of AI copywriting tools. And the last thing I want to mention is their SEO analysis. It just gives you a thorough input on how you can optimise your piece of content for the specific search phrase. There is one thing, though, I want them to improve, and that is the length of the content in the different sections.
Because as you saw when we generated this blog post, the length of the different sections was just not long enough. I would like it to be longer.
Last thoughts about Scalenut
That was Scalenut, and wow, I’m impressed with such a solid AI tool with a tonne of functionality and a lot more to come. I want to give Scalenut four and a half stars. I’m impressed, but I want to see longer outputs in the different sections when it is we create the blog. That’s my review.
