Blogely works as a replacement for WordPress. It’s a complete CMS.

What is Blogely?

Blogely is a complete suite similar to Dragon Metrics, which combines all aspects of content management into one system.

It is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to help you streamline the content creation, optimize your content for search engines, and monetize your content for the Blogely Marketplace.

So, as a content writer, you can use the content creation app with the content marketing workflow to write exceptional content and even sell it on one platform.

Blogely Review Features

When you sign into Blogely, the first view shows everything from the writing process to research, taking control of the entire workflow, and publishing your finished product.

You also get an AI assistant, create jobs, collaborate, and more. But let’s look at some of these features that are important to me.

Content Creation: From Research to Library Features

Writing quality original articles requires research, and using the research tool is the first step.

For my test, I wrote an article about interning link-building using WordPress and how we can succeed at it in the research document section.

Here, you can curate and keep your research findings organized.

My Research: Internal Link-Building WordPress

With the research tool, you can gather data using the top 100 results in the search engine.

In this section, you can use your links to add links relevant to your research. You have a note section to add notes and can add relevant keywords.

In the note section, you can also store content you capture using the Chrome extension.

The extension is ideal when you come across content while browsing for inspiration.

Furthermore, under each keyword, you have different elements where you can find autocomplete questions and ideas.

Using autocomplete helps you build your SEO heat map. Still, I would go to the SERP 100 to enter my focussed keyword.

However, I think that some websites have disabled JavaScript to help protect their content.

I am saying this because Blogely did not fetch all the data from some sites.

Important Note: Here, you can request information from Google Scholar, a super cool feature that provides expert knowledge on your subject.

Next, you can select the top hundred data on internal link-building WordPress. When you receive the results, you can click on each result to add it to your links and get an outline.

The library section also allows you to manage your files, other resources, and images related to the article.

Creating Research Outline

Another notable thing is you can upload/store and search for files on the platform. So you need not use external storage.

Furthermore, you can optimize your blog post or images using Blogely or search for videos/images from external sources to give your content visual appeal.

But back to creating my research outline. Once you have the text, it is displayed in an image. To use it, click the button and add it to your research document.

Still, if you do not want to open all the elements, you can go to the outline and check if you want to add a new outline, and you need to create a new block to add the content.

You also have four different blocks available to control them. Similarly, your document has questions available to answer, and you can easily add them to your research document.

Then, the statistics show where Blogely scanned the websites ranking in the top hundred.

Once you gather your information, click Show as an article to view it fully. I found the research tool handy for scraping content. You can view and assign the document to your content document.

It saves you time switching between tabs and windows, so you can open your assigned document and start working.

Still, a note from my side is that you need to go out the research tool to start writing, and I am not a huge fan of how it works.

Content Writing Tool

The writing tool section is named “Content.” You Can click on the “New Button Article Section” to create new content.

As mentioned in the research section of my test article, you write everything in a block similar to WordPress based on H2 headings.

The writing tool also comes with a plagiarism checker, but it is a separate tool, and writers do not want to pay extra for it. Still, it is essential for professional writers.

Another notable thing is that when I complete my written content, there is no word counter telling me the total words of my document.

You can track your daily or weekly word count to keep track of the daily words written in the content tab.

SEO Optimize to Publishing Content

Once you are done creating your content, you can monetize or publish it.

You get some excellent SEO optimization tools to help your content become more discovered on search engines.

You can connect Blogely to your WordPress website to streamline your publication process.

Alternatively, you can also connect it with:

Blogely Marketplace

Then, you also have the Blogely Marketplace to monetize your content and sell it to buyers. Once you are done writing an article, you can create a content portfolio.

While I did not use this myself, there were some complaints that writers could not assign a portfolio after adding it there, as there is no assigned article.

So, it is still a work in progress.

Workflow Management Tool

With Blogely, you get a customizable workflow management option. You can choose the features that are relevant for content collaboration with others.

You can use it to collaborate with a team and set up a publishing schedule. While browsing through it, I found you can assign tasks, gather feedback, leave comments, and more to ensure everyone is on the same page.

An editorial calendar is also available to drag complete content not published on a date to the publish post date.

Heatmap Tool

When you have the advanced plan, it includes a monthly SEO heatmap. With it, you can analyze your competition before or after planning your content creation.

AI Assistance Tool

The main goal I found in my Blogely review is to simplify blogging for writers and content marketers. Research is also a significant step to achieving this. Still, while I am not a huge fan of their AI tool, I recommend you try it and set the writing model to premium for the best user experience.

Social Media Marketing Manager

A new feature that was added recently is the social media management tool. With it, you can manage your social media campaigns on the platform. Blogely is working with LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook to integrate them. 

Who is Blogely For?

Blogely is an ideal platform for anyone who needs help with their content creation process. It is helpful for bloggers, writers, content creators, and anyone who wants to establish an online presence.

Whether you are a seasoned blogger or just starting, Blogely provides a range of features and tools to help you create, manage, and publish content that engages your audience.

You can use the content creation process to write unlimited articles about product details, keep it organized, collaborate with others, and track progress. The research tool is beneficial for eliminating manual searches before writing your content.

Blogely Alternatives

Blogely helps you with a complete research document solution available in organization blocks, but it is still a work in progress. It does not have a robust research module like other competitors here. I am thinking of Copymate and Scalenut.

Copymate offers custom-trained AI models to use search terms for content creation. You get bulk publishing, which automates your entire content production process.

The indexing API can index hundreds of your blog posts daily. It has two free and basic plans starting at $29 monthly. You can buy extra tokens if needed to create a document.

With Scalenut, you can generate AI-based generation content that will rank on Google. You can create a topical map of your niche with the keyword planner.

It also comes with small, trained AI tools to generate product descriptions, a blog outline, and more. You can try the tool for free or subscribe to four plans for $17.

Blogely Pricing

The Blogely research tool offers five plans, including a free one. It’s great to register for free for 14 days without providing payment details.

With all the plans, including the Start, Solo, and Growth ones, you get the same features except for the portfolio, research docs, published articles, and more.

The Starter plan costs $29, Solo $59, and Growth $99 monthly. Still, if you are an individual blogger who wants to publish or manage a team, check the limit on the number of sites you can integrate, seats, and research docs.

Each plan has a commission structure if you plan to sell your content on the marketplace.

Wrap-Up: Is The Blogely Writing App Worth It?

Compared to other writing tools, it is not worth it. I am not saying it’s a bad content management tool, but it is still in its initial phase. Many tools have minor functionality problems, from creation to content management and publishing.

But I know the Blogely team is working hard to solve those problems. I would like to see a team chat ability on the extension, and no need to log into the dashboard to have a conversation.

Multilingual support would also help me expand my reach to non-English people. The excellent research tool allows me to easily pick the data for my content and include a URL.

The simplified, user-friendly interface is also excellent, making it a handy tool. The workflow management and social marketing management tools also work well.
